MCV Organisational model
We work with a comprehensive model in order to reduce the complexity and to make the dynamics in the organisation clear. This “map of organisations” shows all the essential elements and the interrelationships of the organisation.
The MCV Organisational model structures the organisation in a surface structure and a deep structure.
The deep structure captures the nature and the uniqueness, or authenticity of the organisation.
This essence can only express its strength and charisma through deliberate development processes
The reason for its existence is found in the core, which includes the identity of the organisation, the core business for the future and the purpose for being. This core is surrounded by the culture. The culture of an organisation is shaped by the people, their actions, their ethical beliefs and their communication.
In contrast, the surface structure can be changed and shaped immediately according to economic, technological and information technology aspects.
The prevailing processes, structures and functions are found at the organisational level. These are made possible through technical and economic resources which represent the outermost elements of an organisation. This includes the spaces available, the financial resources and the technical components.
The surface and deep structures only provide the whole of the organisation through their interaction. For this reason the effect of all elements should always be considered in development and change processes.
Improvements and changes to the surface structure are important. But, in the long run, an organisation also needs development in the deep structure.
